Counsellor and Therapist, Tamlyn Griggs, smiling wearing a blue jumper

ABOUT ME

I’m an integrative transpersonal therapist and my approach and training reflect my belief that good and effective therapy must be tailored for each person and their unique context. It is a privilege to accompany my clients navigating the things that matter most to them and I work with diligence to be a helpful, skilled and compassionate companion.

I run a private practice in Chippenham (and Bristol from Jan 2025) and online, and previously worked with Network’s Counselling Service in Bristol. In between my first degree and training as a therapist, I had a career in operations and tech leadership in both the private and third sector, so I understand the joys and challenges that can come with this kind of work.

I have both English and Jamaican heritage and was born and have lived mostly in the UK. Whilst I have a specific lived mixed race experience I welcome clients who wish to explore their own identity within the wider systems they find themselves.

I’ve worked with clients on a wide range of issues, including:

  • Overcoming anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout

  • Healing from trauma, abuse, and emotional wounds

  • Moving through bereavement

  • Developing emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and self-compassion

  • Navigating personal and professional relationships

  • Exploring purpose and meaning

  • Exploring racial identity

  • Integrating experiences of expanded states

If you are unsure whether I can support you, I warmly welcome you to get in touch to find out.
